Mini Moderns
They design PATTERNS WITH A STORY for Tiny Moderns. Mini Moderns is an interiors company that specialises in applied pattern across a range of products including wallpapers, fabrics, pillows, carpets, and ceramics. It was founded in 2006 by London-based designers Keith Stephenson and Mark Hampshire. The inaugural collection was purchased by Heal's, and our brand is still growing, with sales occurring both online and through carefully chosen stockists around the globe.
The wallpapers from Little Moderns, which each have a narrative behind their instantly recognisable designs, bring a print style from the mid-century to contemporary houses. They are a family favourite among those who value design because they were created to fit in any space. The design of Tiny Modern is influenced by everything from vintage toys to literature to British textiles from the mid-20th century. Our work is influenced by travel as well; both domestic and international vacations and field excursions serve as major sources of inspiration.
"MADE IN THE UK BY NICE PEOPLE," they proclaim. At Tiny Moderns, we try to make as much as we can here in the UK. All of our wallpaper, fabrics, pillows, tea towels, and bags are produced in the UK by people we have a history of working with. By reducing the number of trips a product must take before it reaches you, production in the UK also helps to reduce our carbon footprint. Moreover, Little Moderns takes on a variety of commissions. Recent partnerships with the Courtauld Gallery, Southbank Center, and London Transport Museum Store are just a few examples.
