Carlucci di Chivasso is one of the three brands under the Chivasso banner which has showrooms all over the world. It started when Richard Schutte, together with his parents, built up a successful business of four interior decoration shops. A few years later in 1987 he decided, with the support of his wife Ellen Steentjes, to start his own wholesale business. Initially they sold their collections exclusively in the Netherlands but soon decided to expand their business which now spans the globe. They started creating their own collections under a new brand name: Chivasso. Just to give you some idea if the kind of wallpaper on offer, the new Chivasso Botanicals collection has exquisite prints inspired by antique paintings and 18th century botanical designs, including bold florals and fern leaf designs which are hand painted. Then there is the Curious selection of beautiful designs from the Netherlands.

Richly detailed, they use eye-catching gold and silver metallic inks on deep matt backgrounds - classics designs for modern living. There is obviously an alliteration allergy in the company, with the Curious collection containing calm, cedar, charm, clouds, cowboy, crest, crush and cult; the Symbolic collection offering serenity, scenic, signature, simplicity and streamline; and the Wonderwall range of walk on, whisper, wild, wish, wizard, wonder, woodblock and woodstock.
