Marimekko

If you want something different to adorn your walls then the designs of Marimekko may well be to your taste.

The Finnish Marimekko collections are renowned for their clean, creative Scandinavian look, with patterns that are always vivid and colourful. There is, for example, Pieni Unikko Lemon, with its eye-catching combination of yellow and green flowers, and a similar design in greys and blues.

The black and white creations are particularly striking, as are the Ystavat wallpapers in a variety of grey, mustard or red, and the monochrome Kiss-Kiss design. Tree shapes also feature, one in a stunning black on white profile, combined with a contrasting pale pink, and another in brown, white, blue-grey and pale pink, a wonderful example of colour co-ordination.

The introduction of the children's Bo Boo design was extremely well received. With its very colourful images of cars, vans and lorries it is particularly suitable for young boys. Then there is the Ginkgo Biloba, also always popular with children. Available in green and white, black and grey and olive and red, this wallpaper has a soothing effect, with the leaves depicted on it appearing to be floating gently downwards.
