Her enthusiasm and interest in design and interiors was developed when, at the age of nineteen, she went to work for John Fowler at the prestigious Sybil Colefax & John Fowler. Shortly afterwards she set up her own decorating business in which she creates a successful fabric and wallpaper collection.
Nina was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Middlesex in 2001, on top of the many other awards she has received, including the Royal Oak Timeless Design Award (2003) and the American Fashion Award for ‘the woman who has most influenced style internationally’.
Nina is also a Trustee of the Prince of Wales Drawing School and the author of five books on interior design. Her luxury wallpapers combine inspiration from Italy, France and England with a design palette which makes it possible to integrate designs from different collections. She is renowned for her charming and elegant designs that distinguish her rich wallpapers.
