Inspired by a 19th-century Kalamkari block print in Zoffany’s archive, the Mughal Menagerie is abundant in design riches. An intricate, decorative border frames all manner of animals: peacocks, elephants, squirrels, and goats sit on an opulent gold ground, using traditional and digital printing methods. The Indigo/Madder is set on an opulent gold ground, which uses a combined printing and digital technique to create an especially vivid red of this madder colourway. Please note that the border is printed on the left of the roll only to create a stripe effect when joined. 2 x 300cm Panels on one roll, with trimming space between each panel.
